Our Unseen Guest began in 2017 out of 2 previous experimental electronic projects. I had wanted to begin something more structured that could change over time and was inspired by the chameleon like changes of the band "His Name is Alive" over the years. I have always been interested in the metaphysical/paranormal and encountered a book titled "Our Unseen Guest" from the 20's, which was an account of two people who spoke to the same entity multiple times through a Ouija board. This title resonated with me, so I decided this would be the name. This name always seems to apply to what I'm doing, and I feel it has an impersonal, public sound as well as a personal spiritual one regarding the elusive concept of identity, as it slips away and morphs over time, like the strange guest you hear about who happens to be you.
